There is so much potential in the banking jobs or banking industry in India because of the huge growth potential, with this statement Lewellyn Elias, instructor from Times Pro started the session for students of pioneer institute of professional studies.

He explained students about the importance of career in Banking sector, also shared various reports on Banking in India. He shared with students that only 57% of the total Indian population has access to a bank account services which is very low and bears very high potential growth.With demand to cater these potential customer students fit in the picture to serve them by opting Banking as a career.

He also explained students that the potential for careers in banking requires professionals who can make an impact on this growth. Sourcing of such skilled talent is a major challenge for Indian banks. While generalist and probationary officers have served the banks well in the past, the industry is evolving. With this change, banks must have staff with the aptitude for banking. Banks also need you to be ready to work on the first day of the job.

Bankers will need to specialize in different business lines while maintaining basic general competency. Corporate banking, retail banking, treasury, finance, technology, learning and development and human resources will increasingly require staff with skills. This makes banking jobs a real career.
