The confirmation of fresh autonomous status was received by the institute in June2009

In recognition of the performance of Pioneer Institute and setting high standards in providing quality education, the Institute has been conferred Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission on the recommendation of a high powered expert committee appointed by UGC to inspect the Institute. This is a major milestone for the Institute.
 
THE IDENTIFICATION OF PIONEER INSTITUTE TO GET THE AUTONOMY WAS LAID BY THE TEAM IS AS FOLLOWS:

 

  • Pioneer Institute has excellent academic reputation and previous performance of students in university examinations and its academic/co-curricular/extension activities in the past were found to be creditable
  • Academic/extension achievements of the faculty are outstanding
  • Quality and merit in the selection of students and teachers
  • Adequacy of infrastructure, for example, library, equipment, accommodation for academic activities, etc. are admirable
  • Quality of institutional management and the financial resources provided by the management for the development of the institution are appreciable
  • Motivation and involvement of faculty in the promotion of innovative reforms
  • Guest/visiting faculty
  • Orientation and re-training of teachers.
  • Re-designing courses and development of teaching/learning material
  • Workshop and seminars
  • Examination reforms
  • Office equipment, teaching aids and laboratory equipment
  • Furniture for office, classrooms, library and laboratories
